Description
Provide labor and materials to install a Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) beam to support existing structural loads as indicated on approved plans. Contractor shall temporarily shore and support existing framing prior to removal or modification of any load-bearing components. Install LVL beam of size and configuration specified on the engineered drawings. Beam will be installed with proper bearing at each end and secured using approved structural fasteners and connectors per manufacturer specifications and the Florida Building Code. Provide and install any required posts, hangers, straps, or structural connectors necessary to properly transfer loads to the supporting structure or foundation. All work shall be performed in accordance with the approved plans, engineered details, and applicable Florida Building Code requirements.
