This project is a new seawater intake pump station to supply Tampa Bay Water’s existing Desalination Facility located in Gibsonton, Florida. The Project also includes an electrical building and approximately 600 linear feet (LF) of 54-inch diameter fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) piping that will connect to Tampa Bay Water’s existing seawater intake pump station. TECO owns and manages the property where this Project is located. Tampa Bay Water has permanent easements for the existing structures and pipelines in the Project area.
