Description
Owner-Builder/Code Violation HC-CMP-22-0000180. Repair of cantilevered balcony on condominium (townhouse). The owner/trustee of Tampa Real Estate Trust (Boyd Nelson) passed away unexpectedly in 2022. There was an outstanding code citation on the property, a townhome, at that time, that the successor trustee (Rachel Nelson) did not become aware of until March 2023 when the property was listed for sale. The violation was failure to provide a residential misc. permit for structural repair of a cantilevered balcony. This permit is to address that outstanding issue. Beryl Engineering was retained to perform an inspection of the structure balcony, Blueprints have been completed and are under review by the HOA to reinforce/replace stuctural components. A licensed general contractor has been identified and will execute the work once the permit has been approved.
