Description
- 19 SafeBase wall anchors will be installed along upper wall, as shown on plans below. - 15 SafeBase wall anchors will be installed along lower wall, as shown on plans below. - 5 SafeBase wall anchor rods will be run into pool. - 5 holes will be created in pool wall to allow for helical tieback installation. - 5 SafeBase helical piers will be driven between 4-8 degrees to a minimum distance of 12'. - Wall anchor rods will be attached to helical tieback ends. - Wall wall plates will be on outer edge of new wall reinforcement. - A grid of #4 rebar, 32" on center vertically and horizontally will be installed along both walls, per plans below. - Both walls will be drilled and #4 rebar pins will be epoxied into walls for proper connection of new walls to existing. - All rebar will be tied together to include epoxied pins. - #4 rebar will be bent from front of wall to top and 2 rows of #4 rebar will be installed for concrete cap reinforcement. - Soil along bottom of lower wall will be dug so bottom of new wall is 16" below grade. - Forms will be installed for caps and lower wall ends. Lower wall will wrap around left side 24" past concrete walkway and 6' around right side corner to encapsulate both cracked and opened areas of existing corners. - Bottom of both walls will be drilled at 4' on center and 3/4" PVC sleeves will be installed, including filter fabric cap on inside of wall to allow for bottom wall drainage (weep holes). - Dry mix shotcrete will be applied to form new, flat, straight walls and caps. Shotcrete will receive a smooth trowel finish. - Minimum thickness of lower wall will be 8" (approximately 13" thick at bottom and 8" at top. NOTE: thickness will vary based on differing angle of wall. - Lower wall thickness at bottom will be approximately 12" and will taper to 5-6" at top. NOTE: thickness will vary based on differing angle of wall. - Top cap of wall will be approximately 8" tall and upper wall cap will encapsulate old steel tieback system. - Gaps at both side walls at back concrete deck will be sprayed with shotcrete and finished smooth.
