Description
Retaining Wall Stabilization Foundation Push Pier - Proposed scope of work is approved by a third party licensed structural engineer. - Excavation will occur as need to allow for push pier installation (for exterior piers only). - Concrete floor will be chipped up and demolished as needed to allow for push pier installation (for interior piers only). - SafeBase push piers will be installed to solid strata or bedrock. - Area will be backfilled with excavated material and will be rough graded (for exterior piers only). - Concrete will be re-poured in affected areas and will be finished/ blended as smooth as possible (for interior piers only). - Proposed scope of work has been analyzed and approved by 2 separate third party licensed engineers. Proposed scope of work will include a lifetime warranty against any further settlement or lateral movement of affected structure. - Pavers will be removed as needed to allow for pier work and will be stacked for future installation. - Soil will be dug as needed to allow for pier installation. Excavated material will be contained on tarps to help ensure clean work site at completion. - Footing will be cut and chipped out to allow for SafeBase Sabertooth pier brackets. - SafeBase push piers will be installed as shown on diagram below. NOTE: Actual placement of piers may change to avoid seawall deadman structures. - Piers will be driven to engineer-specified pressure, 1,750 PSI to give a 16.8 kip capacity. - SafeBase helical piers will be installed horizontally to a pressure differential of at least 1,100 PSI with 3,543 Ft-Lbs. of torque, 34,785 lbs. ultimate capacity, and 17,393 lbs. allowable capacity. Helical piers will be driven to a minimum distance of 12'. - Helical pier tiebacks will be mechanically fastened to push piers with manufacturer provided bracket. - After completion of piers and tiebacks, all areas will be backfilled with excavated material and all material will be tamped. - Concrete will be re-poured as needed at each pier location, flush with top of footing. Any piers protruding above stop of footing will be left exposed for customer and paver contractor to conceal.
